The ORPQ series filters are intended for use in test qualification of transmission pulses used in optical com- munication systems. These filters assist in determination of compliance to SONET OC eye diagrams. The filters display close to an ideal Bessel-Thompson transfer function, given by:

H(p) = 1/105 + [105 + 105*y + 45*y2 + 10*y3 + y4]

with p = j* w/wr              y = 2.114*p

fO = bit rate

The ORPQ series are available with reference frequencies fr ranging from 50 to 9600 MHz and with a ratio of (fO/fr)=1.33.

Design and construction features an aluminum housing, ceramic substrate lumped element design for excellent temperature stability.

The filter packages are “in-stock”, allowing fast delivery with low cost.
